I served as Chair of Trans- E- Motion in 2021, and as a Member At Large in 2020. A couple of years before that, I began my involvement and volunteer work with Trans- E- Motion due to the encouraging recruitment of the late and beloved, Mr. Zoyer Zyndel. He taught me a lot about standing up and speaking up for others when they feel they don't have a voice.
I also volunteer with the Imperial Dove Court de Fresno, holding two life titles with the organization: Grand Duke 41 and Mr. Trans Fresno 2018 I love when I get asked to perform for their events and I love raising money for my community through the art of drag! After competing in Long Beach, California as a pageant king, I held the title of Mr. California USofA MI 1st Alternate 2013, which got me the ticket to compete at the national level for Mr. USofA MI. Male Illusionist), where I placed 6th in the nation. This year, I had the opportunity to share my story which is featured on hulu, produced by ABC 30 networks in America. The documentary is named, "Our America, Who I'm Meant To Be." (Season 1, Episode 6, @56 minutes in). I believe that serving the community and doing transgender advocacy work is part of my life purpose. As a transgender father of twins, the future generation NEEDS US! My children NEED me to stand up for them NOW! To pave the path to a better future with less anti-trans hate crimes, murders and violence. To continue to open up the hearts and minds of major leaders in our community, such as, Mayor Jerry Dyer's (as I stated in my speech at the Inaugural Rainbow Flag Raising Ceremony, held at City hall this past summer). I feel that it is extremely important to educate, advocate, and spread awareness across the globe. Starting with fighting for MANDATORY LGBTQ+ Orientations, trainings and workshops for all staff, students AND parents of all school districts, health care professionals, law enforcement and so on. To continue our fight for equality in health care, housing and anti- discrimination. To not only continue our current lgbtq+ Support Groups, but also Support Groups and workshops to unite transgender individuals of all ages to their support systems, help them come to an understanding and begin to repair and re-build a healthy relationship. Much much more to come! Let's do this 2022! (P.s. #22 is my favorite number) 😁 ✌
I am a non-binary-ish transgender man who wants to run for the TEM Board because I want to be involved in the trans community at large and serve as an open line of communication between Fresno City College and TEM. I am the co-founder, and current volunteer president of, the LGBTQ Allied Staff & Faculty Association at Fresno City College, where I am paid to work full time as the Budget Technician for the Disabled Students Programs & Services. I am also the co-coordinator of the LGBTQ Safe Space Ally program, and the founder and co-coordinator of the Trans Ally program at FCC.
April is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has dedicated her career and activism to the LGBTQ+ community. She has volunteered as part of our board for three years and served as treasurer the last two years and currently Facilitates both of the organization’s support groups. She has worked with staff at Fresno State to present information on Affirmative LGBTQ+ therapy; in addition, she has provided education to local organizations to help improve the medical and mental health care of LGBTQ+ individuals. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, sewing, gardening, and reading a good book. She looks forward to the future of the organization and the community.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a member of the LGBTQ+ community. I love the inclusivity and uniqueness that the LGBTQ+ community has to offer. I believe that it is important to support and uplift those around you, which is why volunteering for Trans-E-Motion is so important to me. I have learned so much about how to be a better advocate and ally during this past year as a Board Member at Large, however, I believe there is more for me to do and learn. I would love to continue to further my knowledge and ability to advocate for individuals in the transgender and non binary community.
I have been on my journey since about 2014. During this time, I have learned a lot, and have loved this group. I want to be in a position where I can share this love and support as well. I want to be able to do more for our community.
I’ve been a proud member at large board member for Transemotion since 2018. My time with Transemotion has been incredibly fulfilling and rewarding. As a cisgender queer ally, I believe it is important to support the diverse trans and non-binary communities here in Fresno and the Central Valley. I want to run for a member at large position to continue working on health and housing justice for the trans community.
